Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to the Global Sales and Services Director the Regional Manager is the business manager for a dedicated region as defined by the Global Sales and Services Director. You manage the region’s sales, account management, technical sales, and services capabilities to deliver excellent customer experiences, and achieve the regional financial targets. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving sales growth, fostering client relationships, ensuring service excellence, and optimizing profitability. Your team may include directly employed personnel, independent contractors and/or channel partners for the above-mentioned functions.

Experience and Knowledge

  • 8+ years of sales management, consulting, client services, management, or technical sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • University degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience. Engineering, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Strong background in mining
  • Proven technology sales track record to mining industry for a minimum of 5 years
  • Demonstrated understanding of FMS technology and associated business benefits
  • Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel (Moderate travel required 25-35%

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team comprising sales professionals, service technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, emphasizing accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and engagement.
  • Responsible for setting and adhering to your regional budget. Lead your team to achieve both revenue and profitability targets in the region.

Sales

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate new markets and maximize revenue from existing accounts.
  • Develops and constantly updates the regional business development plan to grow the market size and share in the region.
  • Manage the sales forecast plan and opportunities in the region to ensure the Sales team are proactively growing the sales pipeline and the key metrics of the sales pipeline are met and exceeded. Provide regular opportunity pipeline reports to the VP Sales and Service.
  • Development of new sales channels, either direct or through channels based on product and/or geographies as required.
  • Where applicable, manage Wenco relationship with Channel Partners in accordance with the Channel Partner Program for timely and professional distribution and support of Wenco products.
  • Promoting and driving the adoption of new products and company programs to existing clients.
  • Promoting and driving the adoption of new products and company programs to channel partners, training them in the sales of the products, and assisting as required with sales presentations and tender responses to ensure accurate representation of company products.

Services

  • Oversee the Implementation of Wenco Solutions and ensure these are project managed and profitable.
  • Ensure contract management follows corporate standards.
  • Ensure seamless implementation, training, and ongoing support for clients, enhancing product value proposition and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion product innovation and enhancement initiatives based on customer feedback, industry insights, and emerging trends.
  • Work cooperatively with the Customer Success division to ensure clients are procuring relevant products and services that will provide value-in-use assurance.

Operational Excellence and Financial Performance

  • Monthly Business Reports delivered on topics such as; your team’s overall safety, sales pipelines and success, customer satisfaction, client services accomplishments and needs, and other as requested by Global Sales and Services Director, VP Commercial, and President.
  • Assume accountability for the profit and loss (P&L) of the regional business unit, driving revenue growth while optimizing operational costs and resource utilization.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational benchmarks to assess business performance and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Implement robust financial controls, budgetary discipline, and risk management practices to safeguard business viability and ensure sustainable profitability.
