WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Previous experience in successfully managing FTTP operations
  • In-depth experience of telecoms networks including all required Telecom accreditations.
  • Able to identify risks and introduced sufficient controls to manage risk
  • NRSWA knowledge and experience with an understanding of excavation and reinstatement
  • Familiar with FTTP/H PIA type builds
  • Competent in managing contractors and direct labour who undertake fibre & pole surveys, rodding and roping, pulling, splicing fibre and civils activities
  • Able to produce and present data driven Business Information to demonstrate success, challenges or areas of focus
  • Competent in leading on HSEQ management and CI initiatives
  • Computer literate Microsoft applications Excel and Word,
  • Numerate
  • Diligent and thorough in review and entry of data onto IT systems
  • Self-motivated and able to respond quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Capable of supporting and sharing knowledge when overcoming challenges
  • Able to take competing demands and prioritise workload and opportunities accordingly

  • An understanding of current health and safety procedures for working in the UK
  • A full valid driving license is required as regular travel will be required – in the field c.3 days weekly
  • Travel to FibreNest’s operations centre or Persimmon Group’s headquarters will be required where the post holder is not permanently based there
  • The post holder may be required to work extra hours including evenings and weekends from time to time if required to achieve customer or delivery targets

Responsibilities:

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Regional Manager to join the FibreNest Team. This role reports to the Fibre Network Delivery Director.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the Civils Construction Partners and New Sites Installation teams are working to forecasted plans, delivering to agreed quality standards and providing high levels of customer service. The role is responsible for achieving the forecasted plans by managing resources, managing stakeholders and close management of productivity. All Build and HSEQ milestones and cost targets must be met.
This role plays an important role within the FibreNest team; being a subject matter expert on all aspects of all aspects of Telecoms Build (including PIA); liaison with the Persimmon regional teams and Civils Contracts management.

THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Ensure build delivery plans are delivered on time, to budget and quality
  • Ensure Customer Appointments are fulfilled with a right first time approach and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure the highest standards of HSEQ performance are achieved, and all resource is correctly trained and accredited in the activities asked of them
  • Assess build designs for suitability in accordance with required standards, highlighting any build difficulties and working towards a resolution
  • Undertake joint site visits with Civils Contract Partner and Persimmon regional teams to validate the build plans
  • Assess customer appointment completions and provide closed loop feedback demonstrating continuous improvement
  • Undertake the required audit Quota for HSEQ and Quality
  • Highlight all HSEQ policy non-conformance and report on incidents and near misses. Identify root causes, remedial action required and manage through to completion
  • Deliver Tool Box Talks
  • Ensure daily measures of productivity and completions are recorded and reported in line with performance targets
  • Provide on call rotation cover for any out-of-hours issues escalated from customer helpline
  • Attend Operational and Contractor review meetings
  • Highlight any Compensation Event requests that need to be reviewed for approval
  • Working closely with the onboarding team. Support with inductions of Civils Partner subcontractors covering all operational requirements
  • Manage monthly stock takes to confirm materials held by New Sites teams and Civils Construction Partner (where appropriate)
  • Perform quality control audits on completed works to facilitate the civils application for payment approval process
