Temporary Full Time
Under the direction of the Director of Operations Retirement Communities, the Regional Manager assumes the responsibility and accountability of ensuring that the lodges under his/her supervision fulfill the corporate mandate for providing quality care and meet the overall philosophy and mission of Jarlette Health Services
THE FOLLOWING TRAITS AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED:
Must possess a post-secondary degree or diploma from a program that is a minimum of 3 years in duration in a related field.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses (must be a member in good standing);
Minimum of one-year relevant leadership experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to assess the health status of residents and effectively use the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating to provide high quality nursing care to residents;
Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Ability to provide positive role modeling and leadership to staff.
Provide required in-service training and orientation to new employee.
Experience in progressively responsible roles with demonstrated interpersonal skills;
Ability to respond to emergency situations Knowledge of RHRA legislation an asset.
Ability to manage the department’s finance; including inventory management and purchasing considered an asset.
Experience in managing/ supervising employees, scheduling and disciplinary principles.
Ability to build internal and external relationships with residents, family and interdisciplinary teams.
GPA training and gerontology experience an asset.
Prior experience in finance, human resources, and labour relations preferred
Sales and marketing training experience an asset
Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Must be computer literate
Must possess valid Driver’s License and be willing to travel
