Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Manager to begin their story based in our Story Doncaster Depot. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of being hardworking, grounded, and proud of the work they do.
Key parts of the role will include leading and managing your nominated depot with overall accountability for P&L delivery to budget, staffing, client relationship and safe delivery of all works.

You will also be expected to:

  • Manage the team to ensure efficient delivery aligned to the Story Plant standards, and so that the functions of the team work together as one aligned unit
  • Be a Safety Leader, role modelling the highest standards of safety behaviours across the team and being accountable for leading any safety investigations with support from the HSQE team
  • Lead on the development and management of the forward work pipeline, presenting a forecast update to the business monthly
  • Ensure that the Story Plant DLA and approvals processes are followed for the pricing of work
  • Demonstrate a high standard of performance, reliability and customer service
  • Lead the KAM for the depot to drive measurable business development aligned to delivery of budget through management of peaks and troughs, focus on Plant utilisation, and a strong understanding of market opportunity
  • Maintain collaborative ‘best for business’ relationships with all other depot leads to ensure that plant utilisation decisions are taken for the good of the business and so silo working is avoided

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a highly regulated infrastructure environment i.e. Rail, Highways etc
  • PTS (Desirable)
  • Demonstrable people leadership and development skills
  • Experience in developing and retaining strong customer relationships
  • Confidence to proactively address issues and challenge the status quo
  • To be commercially astute, able to understand good net profitability and adverse revenue performance
  • A UK driving licence and the ability to travel
