Description:

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
Who You Are
You are a self-motivated team player with the ability to easily network in an international and cross-cultural environment, working in line with Alfa Laval drivers; Action, Interaction, and Satisfaction. You are driven and see solutions rather than problems, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks. A focus on continuous improvement is in your DNA. You build trust, by clear communication with no prestige.
If the above sounds like you, this position might be just what you’re looking for!

  • Manage the International Marine Service Desk team in the assigned region, including recruiting and managing team members, setting goals and directions for all staff, ensuring the team has the necessary competences and make sure the team follows the agreed global processes.
  • Be responsible for internal communication related to International Marine Service within the assigned region.
  • Prioritize resources for the International Marine Service Desk according to agreed rules and escalate issues when needed.
  • Set the operational schedule of the International Marine Service Desk in the assigned region and ensure that Global Coordinators and Global Technical Specialists are on duty according to the agreed schedule.
  • Ensure the physical workspace, equipment, processes and tools for operating the International Marine Service Desk are in place, fully functional and in accordance with the global directives.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate/resolve risks and issues related to the operation and development of the International Marine Service Desk in the region, escalating them to the International Marine Service Manager if necessary.

What You Know

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 - 8 solid years of relevant working experience in the marine industry.
  • Customer focused mindset, able to collaborate closely with internal customers to support their needs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated experience in making decisive, strategic decisions while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

What’s In It For You
We offer a challenging position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success.
We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. We also believe behavioral traits can provide important insights into a candidate’s fit to a role.
