Description:

Collaborate and advocate with great people! We are a team of talented and diverse people, who are passionate about building innovative solutions to challenges facing kids and families. With community agencies as our partners, we are empowering families to raise Ohio’s next generation of leaders. Join us!
Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is the oldest and largest non-profit statewide mission-driven child advocacy organization in the State of Ohio. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the Alliance provides a challenging and rewarding work environment for its growing staff team and is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation and professional excellence. The Alliance aspires to be a changemaker in the child and family service sector on a best practice and public policy level. Several programs and projects are administered by the Alliance, including conferences, training events, learning communities, and a provider network that contracts with government agencies and health plans. Today, the Alliance membership has grown to over 80 community foster care and behavioral health agencies across Ohio. These agencies drive our advocacy platform, and system improvement goals, and participate in our non-partisan change-making efforts with policymakers.
Position Description:
This role is a Part-Time Contract Position, up to 25 hours per week. Applicants must live in one of the following Ohio counties: Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull to be considered.
The Alliance is contracted by The Ohio Department of Children and Youth to identify and recruit the type of resource (kinship and foster care) and adoptive families needed regionally and across the state to meet the needs of children in public children service agency and Title IV-E court custody. This program is one of our state’s key strategies to address the statewide shortage of available foster parents and families willing to adopt children from foster care.
The Regional Marketing Coordinator will work within the assigned service delivery area (SDA), and within those communities, to identify, generate and strengthen marketing and awareness opportunities. This position plays a key role in ensuring all public and private agencies and key stakeholders have the resources, tools and support necessary to significantly impact all program deliverables.
This role is remote, with frequent evenings and weekends and a willingness to travel approximately 500 miles per month.
The Ohio Children’s Alliance is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome and value the contributions of people from different backgrounds, cultures, identities, and experiences, and we strive to create a work environment where everyone can belong, thrive, and grow.
