We are recruiting for a Regional Nursing Lead - reporting into the Group Head of Nursing.
This role will provide a professional lead for nursing and care within the region. The post holder will support the Group Head of Nursing in implementing the Nursing and Care Strategy for the group with key areas including Physical Health and IPC.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- In line with the ACG Strategy be responsible for leading and developing the nursing workforce in the region through support for Preceptorship, CPD and Revalidation for Qualified Nurse.
- Support services to ensure Internationally Educated staff achieve UK registration where appropriate.
- The post-holder will be required to regularly visit sites, undertake reviews on nursing practice, lead on nursing interventions and provide expert guidance and support to services to improve nursing practice.
- Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve the delivery of excellent patient care.
- Reviewing physical health protocols in services and providing support and recommendations where needed.
- Be a participating member of the Physical Health Group and Infection Control Committee.
- Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to site colleagues on patient safety issues that affect the service, its colleagues and others using the facilities.
- Initiate, lead or participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of needs led innovations within the region e.g., training packages, policy development.
- Support the standardisation of competencies and delegated nursing skills across the group.
- Support with the clinical implementation and quality oversight of digital record systems and eMar.
- Support with internal mock inspections as required.
- Support services to undertake rapid reviews and complete investigations in to care related safety incidents.
- Comply and work within agreed protocols and practices, policies and procedures.
- Contribute to developing and reviewing current policies and procedures in conjunction with other colleagues.
- Always work within the professional guidelines of the NMC code of Professional Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice.
