Description:
Responsibilities:
- The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for working closely with the regional People & Culture Department based out of YVR to ensure that the unique operational environments in these smaller airports are matched to the local labour markets, each with their own unique differences and challenges.
- The Regional Operations Manager will travel to each airport in their Region at least once every 3 months and coordinate their visits with our scheduled visits by Paladin Compliance Officers to ensure that they are maximizing management representation at the airports within their region and therefore maximizing employee engagement opportunities.
- Building a strong and engaged workforce. Working closely with Labour Relations and the Manager of Employee Care to perform investigations, manage employee performance and absenteeism.
- Paladin KPI reporting required to enhance efficient screening operations (not KPIs required as service deliverables directly by CATSA)
- The management of Paladin provided technology, consumables, and uniforms.
- Managing Tardiness and Absenteeism for Screening Officers with support from People & Culture Department.
- Manage all contractor-led training responsibilities, including On-The-Job, Return-to-Work, and RLP Training, including downtime training in coordination with Paladin Duty Managers and Manager, Training and Development.
- Approve and account for non-billable Screening Officer time (i.e. Disciplinary Interventions for Performance Issues or Union Participation).
- Ensure optimal staffing is met while adhering to the weekly fiscal objectives.
- Oversee shift bids
- Work closely with stakeholders ensuring operation requirements are met
- Scheduling staff according to operation schedule changes.
