The Hope Through Housing Foundation (Hope) is committed to breaking the cycle of generational poverty by implementing high-quality social services for low-income families and seniors living within and around National CORE’s affordable housing developments throughout California, Texas and Florida. The Regional Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for direct fundraising tasks under the supervision of the Director of Philanthropy. This position will represent Hope through Housing and National CORE in the community and focus on relationship building, new business development and donor relations with the goal of raising financial support for Hope through Housing. The Regional Philanthropy Manager will work throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth region with the following responsibilities.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A Regional Philanthropy Manager should have the ability to:
- Work easily within Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to balance learning and leading.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and to speak in public.
- Successfully solicit funds from a variety of donors.
- Show initiative.
- Be a team leader and team player.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Maintain work pace appropriate to given workload.
- Must attend Company sponsored events which may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee’s home.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Required: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry experience in progressively responsible positions.
- Preferred: BA/ BS degree in related field.
The Regional Philanthropy Manager will have significant experience with the following:
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of people and confidence in navigating a variety of constituencies and geographic areas.
- Demonstrated success with building relationships and partnerships that lead to tangible results.
- Demonstrated success with securing corporate sponsorships, grants and funding.
- Familiarity with nonprofit social services and affordable housing financing, development and management.
A dedication to making a difference in the lives of low-income individuals.Work harmoniously with clients, consultants and other professionals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Operate computer and office equipment.
- Moderate walking, bending and lifting under 20 pounds.
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
- Exposure to the elements for site tours, ground breakings and other similar events
- Driving will be required for offsite meetings as needed.
