Description:
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing and developing accounts within the Service Provider market throughout the assigned territory. In this role, you will represent A10 Networks and sell its products and services to major Service Provider accounts, employing a high-touch, high-value sales model to effectively position A10 Networks technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned Service Provider accounts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives
- Sales Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve personal and team quotas
- Business Development: Identify and qualify business opportunities with Service Provider accounts, and support distributors in developing effective resellers in the territory
- Sales Execution: Drive end-user sales within Service Provider accounts, including negotiations, coordination, and closing deals
- Sales Presentations: Develop and present professional sales presentations, managing project progress and following up on potential leads to maximize closure rates
- Forecasting and Reporting: Manage sales forecasts and develop short-term and long-term business plans; regularly review business forecast pipelines with regional directors
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Engineers on technical aspects and maintain constant communication with internal teams, resellers, and customers throughout the sales lifecycle
Candidate Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience as part of a Service Provider Sales Team, with a strong track record in selling network infrastructure, security, and software solutions. Established relationships with a variety of Service Provider accounts and Channel Partners are preferred
- Sales Strategy: Demonstrated experience in value-based selling and familiarity with ROI and TCO-based proposals
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Application and Network Infrastructure, with a preference for experience in the application layer and awareness of emerging technology trends
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
Background:
- Proven track record in high-tech startup environments as a Sales Executive within the Service Provider market
- Comfortable working in high-pressure situations and familiar with the complexities of a high-growth business environment
- “Cradle to Grave” sales strategy experience (from cold calling to closing deals)
Additional Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 4 years in the Service Provider market
- Experience in a two-tier distribution model
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation capabilities
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong strategic planning skills to build stable business streams
- Proficient in Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
