This role requires a blend of strategic leadership, operational management, and a hands-on approach to driving business development. This includes taking full responsibility for regional and some national accounts, developing pricing and commercial strategies, and acting as a key liaison between the sales team and senior management. You’ll be working remotely with regular travel across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Implement business development plans for the region that are aligned with national accounts strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, negotiating trading terms and identifying new business opportunities.
- Oversee pricing strategies and ensure price support and quotes are managed within agreed budgets.
- Promote a positive company image and act as a role model in the marketplace.
- Facilitate team development through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Manage the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to performance management, ensuring team development and adherence to company policy.
- Control costs and ensure budgets for recruitment and training are maintained.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and strategic alignment.
- Contribute to the company’s strategic direction as part of the Operations Committee.
- Attend industry events and represent the company at key forums.
