We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Sales Director to lead our sales efforts and drive growth in our Services Division.
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Regional Sales Director for the Sulzer Services Division, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the Sub-Saharan African region. You will lead a dynamic sales team, foster strong relationships with key clients, and collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with Sulzer’s strategic objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management within the services sector, preferably in engineering or industrial services.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in sales management, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in rotating equipment industry is preferred.
- Strong background in managing high-performance sales teams.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance analysis.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- SALES STRATEGY AND EXECUTION:Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the Services Division, aiming to achieve regional sales targets and increase market share.
- TEAM LEADERSHIP:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the services sector, understanding their needs to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- MARKET ANALYSIS:Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive dynamics within the region.
- COLLABORATION:Work closely with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of service offerings and alignment with business goals.
- PERFORMANCE MONITORING:Track and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
