KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • 5 years’ experience managing regional or national accounts, beverage experience preferred.
  • Distributor and supplier experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Existing knowledge of regional off premise chains within assigned territory
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be organized with the ability to work both independently and within team environment.
  • Must be adaptive to change within organization and industry.
  • Must be willing to travel to meet with assigned customers.
  • Results oriented, innovative, strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Display integrity, character, and strong leadership skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The main priority of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to drive the strategy and initiatives established by the Congo Brands leadership team within their assigned regional accounts. The RSM will be responsible for achieving volume and distribution goals of the Congo Brands portfolio within their assigned accounts. The RSM will also manage distributor business results in the respective territory and be responsible for the success of the company in that respective territory/region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell and execute company strategy and initiatives for regional and local chains within an assigned territory
  • Influence execution of programs via decision maker within chain
  • Ownership of volume targets, spending budgets and overall results within assigned territory
  • Ensure local market/region pricing is in line with national pricing standards
  • Work with Field Sales Organization to ensure In-store standards
  • Direct contact to local/regional account teams within distributor to set strategy and sales expectations
  • Responsible for building and owning relationships through select management within wholesaler network, sharing key contact responsibilities for company communication
  • Lead team toward maximizing the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned region through the establishment and appropriate execution of local and national sales programs
  • Develop and ensure the execution of national and regional account strategies for all company products and achieve sales, profit, and market share objectives for all national and regional accounts and/or programs
  • Develop, manage and/or maximize partnerships to drive improved performance
  • Use objective tools, information, and feedback to establish region and area performance goals and results
  • Conduct business performance reviews with distributors to track, monitor and adjust efforts and produce desired outcomes in all key business segments
  • Ensure team executes on designed programs within respective client reporting chains
  • Set, communicate, and manage performance expectations, monitor, and appraise employee job results and performance to develop, counsel or provide corrective action
  • Ensure the sales team understands and adheres to Company standards and operating procedures
