Our goal is that every player has a life-changing experience impacting their development while growing their passion for their chosen sport.
Due to exciting growth, inspiresport is seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager in Australia to join our expanding team and contribute to its growth. This position will require the successful candidate to drive business and maximise revenue growth through relationship building, outbound phone calls, in-person meetings, presentations, and client events while executing our sales strategy. Reporting to Head of Sales, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing key relationships within the youth sports landscape in Australia, notably schools, youth, and the professional sports landscape. The position requires a creative and results-oriented individual who thrives in a role that requires a high degree of independence, self-motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurship.
Our Regional Sales Managers are instrumental in developing new business for Inspiresport. This key role will be responsible for managing relationships every step of the way – from initial contact right through to implementation, ensuring excellence in customer service and delivery along the way.

No two days are the same in our team, but on a typical day you will:

  • Generate recurring business through promotional/selling activities to clients in Australia, predominantly in the school market.
  • Identify sales prospects, develop customer interest and prepare and manage quotes.
  • Grow your own sales pipeline, and pitch and present to win new business
  • Consistently review your sales pipeline to ensure consistent opportunities are generated throughout the year
  • Identify new clients and implement a business development plan to ensure success.
  • Increase Inspiresport’s product and brand awareness in the youth sports sector in Australia.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including schools, clubs, colleges, and universities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with our operations team, suppliers, professional partner clubs and governing bodies; in addition to attending supplier and promotional events as required.
  • Promote excellent customer service throughout the customer journey to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the operations team in the effective delivery of our tours.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITHIN THIS ROLE, OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Have extensive experience working within the school travel or sports travel sector
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be experienced in relationship management
  • Be confident with a desire for sales success
  • Be self-motivated with an ability to manage your own time effectively
  • Have a desire to succeed in a competitive environment and work to targets
  • High degree of attention to detail and tenacity
  • A positive team player with enthusiasm
  • Have a passion for sport and travel
  • First-hand knowledge of some of the key destinations would be desirable such as New Zealand, Australia, Europe/UK, South Africa, North America, Asia.
  • Be able to create and deliver accurate costing proposals to the client in a timely fashion
  • Must be able to travel regularly both domestically and internationally
  • Able to use own initiative to meet deadlines
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in using a client database (e.g. Salesforce)
  • General knowledge of sporting landscape within Australia
  • Experience working within the school or sports travel sector is desirable
