We are seeking a dynamic Regional Account Manager to join our team at Covestro Middle East FZ-LLC Dubai , UAE . This role is pivotal in driving excellence and exceeding expectations to enrich lives and aspirations every day.
The Specialty Films business develops film solutions for a broad customer base with focus on the segments Automotive, Medical and ID/Securities as well as Industrial and Consumer Applications. The Coatings & Adhesives Medical business promotes its raw materials solutions for several medical applications such as in wound care products. The Regional Account Manager supports the implementation of segment- and applications-specific marketing and sales strategies in the Middle East. You act as first level in technical consultation regarding selection of suitable film / coatings / adhesives products, their properties, and methods of application.

Major tasks and responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will be responsible to support maximizing sales and profitability of the SF (Specialty Films) and CA-MED (Coatings & Adhesives Medical) business by implementing short- and long-term sales strategies based on the principals’ targets. As such you coordinate and conclude sales deals within defined expectations of the principal in the assigned area (focus on Identification, Medical, and Security Glazing customers). This includes the negotiation of supply contracts, quantities, prices, terms of conditions, etc.
  • Moreover, you will generate information about the customer’s demand estimation, competitive situation, and the general market conditions to improve Covestro’s position as a key supplier. As a result, you provide support and local insights to the principal for the development of the sales strategy and marketing plan.
  • Introduce medical products and applications to potential customers and partners in the region - gather, assimilate, and analyze customer needs & market trends.
  • Fill the project pipeline by identifying new business opportunities along the value chain and pushing ongoing projects into sales.
  • You act as first point of contact towards customers helping to solve and coordinate critical issues in areas such as product quality/specifications or material supply.
  • You monitor relevant local regulations and laws, which might influence principals’ business and inform the principal accordingly.
  • Finally, you will visit and contribute to commercial and technical fairs as well as propose advertising in appropriate journals where applicable.

Qualifications

  • You have completed an academic degree or comparable education. Preferably in a technical field covering material / plastics / chemicals processing. A commercial one is a possible option.
  • Besides your profile shows a minimum of 7 years of business experience in Sales and/or technical development roles in the thermoplastics and/or medical industry with a track record of sales growth
  • A background in the polymer/plastic films industry would be an advantage
  • Furthermore, you are able to work in a structured, analytical way with a high independency due to your professional expertise
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate / lobby internally and externally
  • You show a high level of interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse cultures and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Preferably regional Middle East working and cultural experience
  • To complete your profile, your English skills are fully fluent, both written and spoken. Arabic language is preferable and an advantage.
