Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and have over a century of experience in doing so.
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager – Mining to join our commercial team who offer a wide range of mine air heating solutions available to condition air for safe and productive underground mining operations.
As Sale Manager, Mining, you will be responsible for sales growth and existing client base management in the CAD mining sector. This role is an integral sales team member and will interact very closely with other members of the North American mining sales team. Projects range from $20k orders to large capital projects over $10M.
YOUR EDUCATION SHOULD BE…
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or technical discipline)
Applications and design experience related to mine ventilation design and solutions (asset)
Solid background in industrial fans, process heaters and cooling systems is preferred.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE SHOULD BE…
A minimum of 5 years direct sales experience in capital projects ($1M - $10M+) or related mining ventilation industry.
Preferably in Mining industry
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable skills:
Logical problem-solving skills, outstanding organizational skills and dedication to quality and integrity.
Proven ability to quickly assess complex issues and identify root causes/key success factors.
Decision making skills including knowledge of varying decision-making styles
Can negotiate skillfully, both internally and externally. Knows how to win concessions without damaging relationships. Gains trust of other parties to the negotiations.
Self-motivation to cultivate new busine3ss and close opportunities that are key to Chart/Howden
Strong communication sills, both written and verbal
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
