Description:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Minimum of one year’s experience with Wedgewood Weddings.
- Thorough understanding of all Wedgewood Wedding sales, planning and coordination processes, including event sales, event planning, and event coordination.
- Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed and motivated to initiate change and improve process and procedure.
- Training experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to travel to all venues within the region and company-wide trainings with approximately 70% travel, which is subject to change based on business needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time.
- Lift: exertion of physical strength to move objects (up to 25 lbs.) from one level to another.
- Carry: hold or rest weighted objects (up to 25 lbs.) directly on hands, arms, shoulders or back while moving from one location to another.
- Climb: ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress, using both hands and feet.
- Push: exertion of force on or against an object up to 50lbs to move it from one location to another.
- Bend: flexion of the upper trunk forward while standing and knees extended or knees flexed when sitting.
Responsibilities:
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Reporting to the Corporate Sales Trainer, the Regional Sales Trainer is responsible for sales at their home property, while providing sales training, office coverage and leadership for all venues within the region. The Regional Sales Trainer takes a leadership role in the sales office, conducts personal consultations, follows up on leads, books events, makes outside sales calls, handles event details, collects payment, leads BEO meetings in absence of the General Manager and performs various others duties as assigned. S/he may coordinate and manage a portion of the events. As is typical in the hospitality industry the Regional Sales Trainer may be required to work evening, early morning, weekend and holiday shifts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct personal consultations, follow-ups, details and final meetings for prospects and clients.
- Close sale and finalize contracts with clients.
- Answer and respond to all correspondence (email, telephone, walk-ins).
- Obtain guaranteed guest counts.
- Communicate “details” information to other departments.
- Conduct BEO meetings with proper departments.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors, including package tracking with third-party vendor-partners.
- Coordinate and manage a portion of the events.
- Present a professional appearance and maintain an organized work environment.
- Execute and/or participate in wedding fairs as needed.
- Review previous business/clients and contact for rebooking.
- Manage property calendar (meetings/appointments, event space, events, rehearsal times/space, etc.)
- Train newly promoted or hired sales and planning staff within the region.
- Manage training checklists for newly promoted or hired sales and planning staff within the region.
- Provide office coverage for regional properties as needed.
- Assist with coaching and development for existing sales and event planning staff.
- Participate in company-wide committees and assist the General Manager in operational duties and responsibilities.
- Provide coverage as a back-up Salesforce Administrator as needed.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
