Regional Surgical Clinical Manager (d/f/m)
Region Germany North-West & North-East
The Regional Surgical Clinical Manager is responsible for leading a clinical team, furthermore, takes care of the team’s strategic and tactical operations to ensure the achievement of business outcomes and to best address patient care and outcomes. He/she understands, articulates, and supports the organization’s mission, vision, goals and strategies and has the ability to effectively translate these to the clinical team on site.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the effectiveness of the field team through 1:1 travel and on-site coaching
  • Manage clinical outcomes by ensuring application of best practices and ABIOMED clinical training related to patient care for patients in need of support to optimize outcomes and client experience
  • Manage and support patient implant coverage and customer communication
  • Increasing the growth and implementation of the surgical business. Coordination and management of joint activities with local Surgical Account Manager, Physician Program team, Marketing & Training department and local cardiological franchise teams
  • Ensuring the competence of staff and clients through the development, retention and performance management of the clinical team
  • Manage ABIOMED’s surgical clinical team’s recruitment, including building a recruitment bank for the team
  • Continuous development of his/her team’s personal and professional skills
  • Therapy development through implementation of ABIOMED’s surgical products and therapy
  • Training of physicians and hospital staff on the appropriate use of Impella to ensure excellent clinical outcomes
  • Grow and establish peer-to-peer surgical networks to share best practices and develop peer-to-peer educational programs - in coordination with our PPD team, Medical Office, Marketing, SAM and the local team
  • Cooperation, development, and implementation of surgical campaigns with the EU/US marketing teams
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent the company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism
  • If needed, Case support in new surgical centers as well as complex cases in experienced locations
  • Conferences: Represent us at surgical conferences across the EMEA region
  • Ability to travel regularly 60%
  • Regular meetings with field team and clients is required

QUALIFICATIONS

Your Expertise

  • College degree in Business, Nursing, Cardiac Perfusion, or equivalent medical degree required
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in the world of MCS (mechanical circulatory support, ventricular assist device)
  • Strategic Selling Skills
  • Ability to choose methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results
  • Clinical experience with medical devices is a plus; strong cardiac operating room and/or cath. lab experience
  • Performing duties and responsibilities in accordance with all laws and regulations required for the medical device industry
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency in German and English
