Description:
We are seeking a Regional Tax Manager to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry based in Houston, Texas. The role involves managing and overseeing tax affairs for the North and South America region as part of a global tax team. The role will also involve working with various teams, ensuring compliance with regional tax regulations, and providing strategic tax planning to support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the tax affairs within the North and South America region.
- Ensure compliance with regional tax regulations and optimize tax structures.
- Provide strategic tax planning and tax advice to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with various teams including the Global Tax team, Accounting, Finance and Commercial teams.
- Manage tax reporting and tax compliance for all legal entities in the region.
- Plan tax strategies for projects in the region.
- Maintain a strong presence in U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, and other Latin and South American countries.
- Utilize skills in Corporate Tax Compliance, International Tax Compliance, and U.S. International Tax.
- Work as part of the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Global Tax.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in Field Services
- Proficiency in Corporate Tax Compliance
- Expertise in International Tax Compliance
- Thorough understanding of U.S. International Tax
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent is preferred
- Proficiency in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
