Description:

In this role, you will be working in Veson Nautical’s Data Intelligence division. The Data Intelligence division combines the leading VesselsValue, Q88 and Oceanbolt brands into a World leading suite of online, analytical and regulatory products for the commercial Maritime sector.
The Data Intelligence Regional Territory Manager is an individual contributor and full cycle sales role responsible for selling data and insight solutions via an online platform and APIs applications to new prospects across the Nordic region. They will be targeted on new logo subscription clients. We are looking for a engaging regional sales professional to join our European and American New Business Team.
You will work closely with managers and colleagues who have created, nurtured and grown regions into significant subscription bases within the Data Intelligence brands. You will have cross functional tracks to the Research, Analytics, Marketing, Legal, Development and Support Teams and you will be targeted on your ability to qualify and create new logo opportunities, effectively present Veson solutions and grow the regional Data Intelligence subscription base.

Our clients include the world’s leading investors, traders, lenders, shipowners, operators, brokers, regulatory bodies and advisors giving a successful candidate contact and exposure to the top execs in the Maritime Industry.

  • This position can be hybrid based out of our London offices or if not based within commuting distance, we can also consider remote elsewhere within in the UK with the ability to commute to London at least once a month.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years+ experience of B2B SaaS market data, data intelligence or software sales, ideally dealing with either shipowners, maritime, banking, financial services or affiliated industry spaces with related products and services
  • Business level English with native fluency in at least one of the following languages - Norwegian, Danish, Swedish or Finnish with additional languages welcome!
  • Confident cold calling and lead generation experience
  • Willingness to travel as and when required
  • Experience of negotiating and working closely with C-level client stakeholders
  • Proven consistent sales success in your previous shipping/SaaS sales role(s)
  • Able to thoughtfully and diligently execute a sales process and territory plan
  • Demonstrated high rapport building and consultative sales skills
  • Proven ability to aggressively prospect new opportunities from lead generation to close
  • Highly effective communication skills with the ability to liaise, engage and build relationships with key stakeholders up to senior management/executive level
  • Strong proficiency and sales experience in computer software and tools
  • Proven ability to proactively address client concerns and exceed client needs
  • A track record of understanding and managing SaaS revenue budgets and targets
  • Outstanding consulting, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated planning and organizing skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
  • Knowledge of shipbroking or the offshore maritime sector is a bonus

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for closing subscription agreements and developing the sales pipeline in accordance with targets set by management, specifically:

  • Building prospect lists and executing on them with the assistance of the lead generation team
  • Attending industry events and generating leads through networking
  • Qualifying prospects in accordance with sales process, identifying key contacts, estimating closing timeframe and subscription amount and reporting this to management
  • Develop sales strategies and targeted phone campaigns
  • Providing feedback to management on the effectiveness of various campaigns or strategies
