PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive experience within the Shipping (Liner) industry
Excellent communication skills (verbal + written)
Strong influencing skills, wtih ability to influence key (senior) stakeholders at all levels across European Region
Self-motivated and a good team spirit
High levels of resilience, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Should be a go-getter and capable of achieving targets
Ability to anticipate business requirements and remain ahead of the business need
Advanced Project Management Skills
Team building and ability to reach consensus with divergent organizational divisions
Responsibilities:
Analyse vessel performance per Trade to drive for vessel optimisation via collaborating with local Management, HO Management, Agency and Sales Manager on weekly basis.
Weekly update on the market situation to the Management and Agencies (Competition activities, service, rates and volume outlook etc)
Weekly review with the Agencies and manage allocations to the Agencies in view of budget/vessel allocations by selecting the right cargo mix and revenue.
Review and drive internal processes standardisation and adherence.
Distributions of HO policies, rate guidelines, surcharges, specific procedures etc. to regional agency network.
Updating and monitoring of vessel profile and Market Identification on a weekly basis.
Visiting core customers for business development and maintenance.
Intervene in business negotiations with HO if need any escalation by sales teams
Coordination with Area and Sales Manager for identifying new businesses.
To keep a good follow-up of non-performing Trade and Agencies and to accelerate same to respective sales Management.
Constant dialogue with HO Lines, Cargo Flow and Agencies to understand and take necessary action on volume generations.
Assist the lines on selection of priority in best-paying shipments in case of overbooking.
