JOB DESCRIPTION

Regional Trainer (Etobicoke)
Salary: $54,000 to $57,000 (base salary)
Status: Full-Time / Permanent
Shift: 40 hours / Monday to Friday
Travel: Within Canada - up to 15%
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Regional Trainer to join our team of Security Professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations and training, with the ability to assist in the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for our security personnel. This role is essential in ensuring that our security staff are well-prepared to handle various security situations with professionalism and competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and implementation of training programs for new and existing security guards, covering essential topics such as security procedures, emergency response, communication skills, and customer service.
  • Conduct classroom-based and on-the-job training sessions, ensuring that all security personnel are fully trained in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Prepare security personnel for required certifications and ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of trainees during and after training sessions, providing feedback and additional training as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into training programs.
  • Maintain accurate training records and reports, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with security management and other departments to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of classroom instructor experience
  • Proven experience with personnel supervision and management
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary provincial licensing requirements
  • Valid G License and drivers abstract
  • Must be 25+ years of age, due to insurance requirements on company -owned vehicles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint and TEAMS.
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • Mainly indoor office environment with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected; some outdoor work will be required
  • Major activities include standing, sitting, stooping, talking, and listening (communicate orally in person and via telephone), reading computer screens, written and electronic correspondence and documents
  • Physical effort is requires frequently walking, reach walking with hands and arms, and safely operating a vehicle.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and may be required to climb stairs, ladders, or ramps
