Project Architect
John Fleming Architects (JFA) is a leading commercial architectural practice, based primarily in Dublin 14, and with a satellite office in Maynooth, Co Kildare. JFA has a strong track record across a diverse body of work primarily focused on multi-unit residential, commercial, hospitality/leisure and retail projects. Job Requirements

This role for an experienced Project Architect will involve working with a number of project teams to design and deliver medium to large multi-unit residential, hotel and other similar-scale projects. You will have a key role in projects from kick-off to completion; typically this will include liaising with a diverse range of Irish and international clients to clarify briefs, needs and budgets; preparing presentation packages and presenting designs to clients; meeting with planning departments and other project consultants; resolving high level design issues; and managing projects on-site. Broadly, for these roles it is expected that you are on/eligible for the RIAI Register of Architects, and have:

  • Ideally a minimum of 4 years’ work experience including post-Professional Practice Examination experience
  • Commercial focus, which includes good knowledge of planning and building regulations
  • Proven design track record in the commercial sector
  • Strong leadership competency to include experience managing people and teams
  • Project management and contract administration skills
  • A keen understanding of the potential complexities of planning and building regulations for large-scale developments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to gain the trust and confidence of clients by balancing good design with the delivery of commercially successful projects
  • Attention to detail and strong professional integrity
  • An ability to develop new project and business opportunities
