POSITION OVERVIEW

Calian Health Services is thrilled to invite a motivated and dedicated Level II Dental Assistant to join our professional team at the CFB Gagetown dental clinic. If you’re looking to take your career to the next level and want to be part of something truly meaningful, this opportunity is for you!
As a Dental Assistant at CFB Gagetown, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality oral healthcare to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces. Working alongside skilled dentists and dental hygienists, you’ll be a part of a close-knit team focused on supporting the health, well-being, and readiness of Canada’s military members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Level II (Intra-Oral) Dental Assisting program.
  • Must be licensed in Good Standing as a Level II Dental Assistant with the New Brunswick Dental Assistant Associaiton.
  • Must have experience performing intra-oral procedures and providing clinical assistance in all disciplines of dentistry.
  • Must have (or be able to obtain) CPR Level C / AED certification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must be eligible and able to obtain and maintain a Reliability level Government Security clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists or other dental clinicians chairside in performing a wide range of dental procedures.
  • Perform dental radiographs.
  • Perform a wide range of dental laboratory procedures.
  • Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, equipment, and operating area.
  • Maintain dental operating area and monitor consumable supplies.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.
