POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager of Therapy Services, you will provide care for inpatients requiring nutritional intervention. Primary duties include nutritional screening of inpatients according to established procedures, implementing nutritional interventions, monitoring and following up on patient progress as appropriate, maintaining accurate records and maintaining professional expertise through continuing education and professional development.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and a Dietetic Practicum recognized by Dietitians of Canada
  • Registered in good standing with the Ontario College of Dietitians

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospital
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Ability to develop good rapport with patients
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as autonomously
  • Excellent demonstrated customer service/communication skills
  • Demonstrated educational and professional involvement as well as a commitment to professional development
  • Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions, and meet patient care needs.
