ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Midwife for our Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS) to provide high-quality care to women under 20 weeks gestation experiencing pregnancy loss or threatened loss.
The role involves assessing, investigating, and managing patients, offering emotional support, and counselling to meet both clinical and emotional needs.
The midwife will triage EPAS referrals, ensure timely and appropriate care according to policies, and collaborate with the EPAS Clinical Midwifery Consultant and medical teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong midwifery skills and a commitment to delivering empathetic, patient-centred care in a low-risk outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to give the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife’s own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant.
This position may entail rotating through various clinical areas such as, Birthing Unit, Post/Antenatal Ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal Clinic.
