Due to a growth in service with now 2 Cardiac Cath Labs and a Cardiac ward, we have a very rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab as a Trainee Cardiac Cath Lab Staff Nurse.
You will be fully trained in the pre-assessment, scrub, circulatory and recovery nursing of Cardiac Cath Lab patients.
This role is ideally suited to a Registered Nurse with post registration experience and a desire to develop specialist skills and expert knowledge in coronary angiograms, PCI, Pacing and EP Studies.
Your working hours will be 37.5 Hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm, 9am – 5pm, 10am – 6pm or 11am – 7pm on a rota basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing care and support to patients throughout their pathway in the Cardiac Cath Lab including pre-operative assessment right through to discharge
  • Scrub for a case load of patients undergoing cardiac procedures including catheterisation, pacing and ICD fitting
  • Ensure the patient experience and well-being remain at the heart of the business at all times and best practices are implemented and maintained within the Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Day to day duties of a cardiac nurse including taking bloods, cannulation, performing angiograms, pacing’s as well as assessing and monitoring patients.
