Description:
JOB SUMMARY
As part of the interdisciplinary team, the RN is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation..
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BCLS.
- Nephrology Certificate Program completed an asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hemodialysis experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Demonstrated knowledge, skill and judgment in the application of hemodialysis.
- Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, organization, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter-professional team member in a crisis and fast paced demanding environment.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to facilitate patient and family-centered care and establish therapeutic relationships.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
