Description:
We are looking for a Band 5, Registered Nurse (RMN) to work within MHCIT. This vacancy is also open to about to be newly qualified nurses where there is a full preceptorship programme.
We are looking for individuals who have an experience of working with people who have mental health problems and complex needs. We are seeking proactive and confident people who are able to adapt to changing situations and environments, and who work well within a team of other people. You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the service overall. This is an ideal opportunity to develop a wide range of skills in one setting.
We are keen to support your development throughout your nursing career and you will have access to a range of training courses. You will be supported within your role though a personalised induction period which supports both your development and wellbeing.
To lead and present complex, sensitive and challenging clinical and professional communication processes that may impact where there are barriers to understanding.
To communicate complex information to users and carers regarding personal, psycho-social problems in an empathic and supportive way. This will involve using inter-personal skills where agreement or co-operation is required.
Demonstrate a range of clinical interventions, procedures and practices which are evidence based and relevant to the clinical area.
To assess the needs of patients and their carers’ based on the analysis of a range of facts or situations. Interventions will be planned on the assessment information and the interpretation of this e.g. Mental Health assessment/risk assessment
To contribute to assessment and management plan for patients with high risk clinical needs to ensure safety of patients, carers, staff and the general public.
