Novant Health is hiring a Cardiac Pre Post registered nurse for the day shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC.

  • Schedule: Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, Monday -Friday, rotating shifts. 9-Hour Day Shift, 6am-3pm and 7am-4pm. and 7am-4pm. “Closing shift” requirements where you are assigned 12-9, but usually last patient is gone between 6-7pm.

Our unit is built on a foundation of 23 beds, teamwork, and family focus, creating a tight-knit community where everyone is supported. Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs nursing assessments to gather data and identify the patient’s needs for this episode of care per ANA standards and NCBON.
  • Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.
  • Develop and implement an individualized nursing care plan with the patient and family that will address the patient’s and family’s identified needs and concerns.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
  • Implements and evaluates the patient’s response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.
  • Provides care based on established standards of practice, policies, and protocols
