• Department: Observation Unit
• Schedule: Full time days. Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
• Hospital: Ascension Sacred Heart - Bay
• Location: Panama City, Florida

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date reqiuired. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition “Compact State” obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date redquired.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulativeleadership experience required.

Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
• Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Monitor and adhere to budget.
• Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
