Job Overview: The highly skilled, and accomplished, care team at Trinitas Regional Medical Center supports a 22 Bed Medical Surgical Unit with a broad range of patient care needs and often supports some higher-acuity patients. This unit has the ability to support 6 single-bedded rooms and up to 38 patients. The team is looking for a team member that has a love for the Medical Surgical specialty or someone who is eager to grow in a diverse and ever-changing patient area. Our nurses are an integral part of our patient s care and clinical team, providing emotional and clinical support to our patients and their families.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift, 36 Hours
  • Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required
  • ASN or BSN required
  • AHA BLS prior to start date required
  • Oncology, Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or acute nursing experience is preferred
  • Specialty certifications and/or national nursing certifications desired

Essential Functions: The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
