Novant Health is hiring a Mother/Baby registered nurse for the Night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. We’re offering up to a $7,500 relocation bonus.

ABOUT THE MOTHER/BABY DEPARTMENT:

We’re seeking a registered nurse to join our team responsible for providing immediate postpartum care to both mom and baby. Our unit prioritized teamwork and offers self-scheduling, ensuring flexibility for our staff. Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree accredited in nursing school required.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
  • 1 years’ experience in acute care required.
  • Postpartum experience preferred.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.
  • Develops and implements an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that will address the patient’s and family’s needs and concerns.
  • Implements and evaluates the patient’s response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.
  • Ensures that patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely manner.
  • Documents assessments, delivery of care and patient’s response to care in medical records.
