Registered Veteriary Nurse - Small Animal

Up to £33,000 DOE
Island Veterinary Centre, Stafford are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The role will include nursing, theatre, consultations, mentoring students, basic animal care and cleaning. Day to day duties do depend on the area for example consultations are from 8:00am-11:00am with a half hour gap in-between. Consults will then continue from 3:00pm-6:00pm. They will be in a dispensary in between assisting receptionists as necessary. The theatre will involve pre-op checks, preparing patients for ops, monitoring GA’s and taking care of inpatients.

The typical rota includes working 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts. There will be 1 in 5 Saturdays on a rota basis from 8:30am-4:00pm. There are no out of hours. Our practice is a small animal practice with new purpose-built premises fully equipped with certificate holders so more complex operations can be performed. Based in central Stafford.
