Location: Eastcott Veterinary Hospital, Swindon
Job Type: Permanent, Part Time
Hours: Saturdays and Sundays - 10 hour shifts. Flexibility with shift frequency preference (minumum 1:8).
ABOUT US
Eastcott Veterinary Hospital is an RCVS Accredited Multidisciplinary Referral Practice based in Swindon, Wiltshire, just off the M4. Our referral hospital is led by a team of Veterinary Specialists who provide an exceptionally high level of clinical and surgical veterinary care. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in all disciplines, and our team offers a warm welcome to referring vets, clients, and patients.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a forward-thinking, proactive and enthusiastic individual who strives to provide the very best for their patients to join our weekend nursing team. We encourage a collaborative approach, empowering all team members to communicate openly with their ideas and improvements.
You will be welcomed into a team of skilled and encouraging nurses, vets, support staff and physiotherapists. Personal development and professional progression is supported, encouraged and celebrated.
The shifts will be a mixture of early and lates, covering predominantly inpatients. You will be working alongside our team of nursing assistants, students, interns, vets and clinicians providing nursing care across all wards including our purpose-built ICU.
There is a huge diversity in our cases as we cover several referral disciplines and also primary care. We also have a procedure shift rotation on our weekends, helping with any inpatient procedures or emergency cases that come in.
This is a part-time role working Saturdays and Sundays (10 hour shifts) with flexibility in considering applicant shift frequency preference (minmum 1:8 weekend).
The ideal candidate will have experience in either a hospital or referral department (although this is not essential) and be at least 1 year qualified.
