As an RVT at Cassells Animal Hospital, you are an essential part of the team, and we ensure your skills are maximized! You will be actively involved in all aspects of the services we offer, including:

  • Anesthetic induction and monitoring: Ensure the safety and comfort of our patients during surgical procedures.
  • Caring for in-house patients: Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals recovering from surgery or receiving treatment.
  • Client education and communication: Educate pet owners on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-operative care, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in caring for their pets.
  • Digital imaging and diagnostics: Leverage our digital radiographs to enhance patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Dental care: Perform and assist with dental cleanings and procedures, including using digital dental x-rays.
  • In-house laboratory testing: Utilize your knowledge and precision to conduct a range of tests that support patient care.

Qualifications of our ideal candidate:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing with the OAVT
  • At least 1 year of experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a sense of humor (we love a good “dad joke") to contribute to our friendly, team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work shared on-call shifts (premium included)
