Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinic Receptionist is responsible for scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collecting payments at check-in for patients seeking services at the clinic. This role involves complex scheduling tasks, direct interaction with patients, and ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with clinic policies. The Clinic Receptionist is integral in providing a welcoming experience and facilitating efficient operations within the clinic.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Background in scheduling and/or insurance verification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Mobility: Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and move around the clinic.
- Strength: May occasionally lift or move items up to 20 pounds.
- Vision and Hearing: Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Noise Level: The noise level in the clinic environment is usually moderate.
