It’s an exciting time to be joining the Student Records, Data & Fees/Funding Team in this fast-growing area. An opportunity has now arisen for a skilled, experienced and motivated individual to join Buckinghamshire New University as a Registry Administrator to work as part of the Fees and Funding Team. The postholder will work as part of the Student Fees & Funding team in the administration of student fees and funding activity for the University. This will include carrying out administrative tasks for the team, including in the areas of (not exclusively) invoicing students, undertaking notifications to Student Loans Company, contributing to the university’s Fee Setting process, processing sponsor management, processing NHS funding contracts, responding to and dealing with finance queries from students, etc
You must be organised, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise workloads as appropriate and be able to operate under pressure in a fast-moving and changing environment.

Job Purpose: The postholder will work as part of the Student Fees & Funding team in the administration of student fees and funding activity for the University. This will include carrying out administrative tasks for the team, including in the areas of (not exclusively) invoicing students, undertaking notifications to Student Loans Company, contributing to the university’s Fee Setting process, processing sponsor management, processing NHS funding contracts, responding to and dealing with finance queries from students, etc.
The post holder will also have the opportunity to have input into improvements and enhancements to student fees and funding processes and procedures, under the guidance of their Line Manager and Supervisor. They will also follow best practice customer service in order to provide an optimal student experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
1. To be the initial point of contact for day-to-day student and staff queries relating to student fees and funding, responding to routine and non-routine requests for information using various data sources, demonstrating a high standard of customer service.
2. Provide guidance and training on processes and procedures relating to the Student Fees & Funding remit.
- Plan and organise tasks and meetings arrangements in relation to:
- the day to day operations relating to student fees and funding activity for the University;
- the ongoing invoicing of student fees;
- the ongoing confirmation of student registration and attendance data with the SLC.
- Carry out other student fees and funding related duties as directed by the postholder’s Line Manager.
- As part of the Student Fees & Funding team, support the annual fee setting process and ongoing maintenance, updating and checking of the University’s fee schedule.
- Support of the maintenance, monitoring and validation of student fees and funding data, ensuring accurate interpretation and recording of such data and of the Tuition Fees Group decisions to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
To liaise with internal contacts, such as colleagues in other directorates (notably Finance) and academic schools, and external contacts as appropriate to ensure a smooth running of the service in line with current practice.
Additionally, the post holder will be expected to support the wider activities of the Academic Registry and University, including:
- To attend relevant meetings as appropriate and take notes as required;
- Assisting with Registry-wide events, such as the University’s Graduation Ceremonies and Enrolment/Registration etc, undertaking specific tasks as required;
- To be actively engaged with internal working groups and to proactively implement agreed process changes within the University;
- Adopting and demonstrating behaviours aligned to the University’s values;
- There may be a requirement for these duties to be carried out across different sites within the University.
- Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices.
- Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required.
