We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regulatory Specialist to join our REACH team. Reporting to the Head of the REACH Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the REACH programme across assigned regulatory jurisdictions and business units. As a hands-on contributor, you will guide business leaders on regulatory strategies, ensuring our products comply with regulations while optimizing market positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Strategy Development: Develop and implement regulatory strategies for product registration and innovation projects, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation.
  • Regulatory Approvals: Obtain and maintain regulatory approvals, coordinate study plans, compile, submit, and follow up on registration applications.
  • Policy Analysis and Guidance: Provide expert advice on regulatory changes and compliance requirements, and develop strategies to address regulatory opportunities and threats.
  • Customer Support: Respond to internal and external customer queries regarding registrations and regulatory information, and provide guidance on regulatory-compliant product marketing initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, industrial associations, standards-setting bodies, and industry consortia.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial, Technical, and Regulatory Teams to ensure cohesive and favorable outcomes for the business.
  • Innovation Support: Provide regulatory support for innovation activities, ensuring that new product developments comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience, or a higher degree with at least 3 years of industrial experience, including 2 years in regulatory affairs for industrial chemicals.
  • Expert knowledge of regional/national chemicals regulatory frameworks (EU-REACH, UK-REACH, Turkiye-REACH) and allied regulations (BPR, Cosmetics, Crop Protection Products, GHS, etc.).
  • Strong technical expertise in chemistry, efficacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, or risk assessment methodologies.
  • Professional integrity and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and evaluate scientific data.
  • High-level understanding of standards and documentation accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
