QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; must have 2 - 5 years of experience in this role or directly relevant field.
  • Experience with state/federal financial regulators required.
  • Experience with Money Transmission regulation highly preferred
  • Experience with NMLS system highly preferred.
  • Experience with cryptocurrency/fintech is desirable but not required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS) a huge plus.
  • Must be highly organized, a self-starter, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Has a positive outlook on life and projects a happy disposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the leadership team and external stakeholders to obtain necessary information needed for licensing purposes.
  • Ensure that obligations arising from reporting requirements, particularly at state level, are understood, clearly documented & communicated to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance;
  • Liaise with other internal departments including Accounting, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Support to fulfill regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure all company information is up to date internally and externally in a rapidly and consistently evolving company and regulatory environment.
  • Ensure all licensing maintenance and renewal procedures are followed on an ongoing basis.
  • Track, analyze & report on upcoming regulatory changes applicable to Uphold’s business activities.
  • Assist in preparations for routine in-depth examinations by regulators.
  • Appropriately gather and process extremely sensitive documents and information of the company and key investors, directors and officers.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities and numerous ongoing projects simultaneously and on schedule without sacrificing accuracy or attention to detail.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
