Regulatory Compliance Engineer

Peak Ocean Group is seeking to invite an experienced Regulatory Compliance Engineer to consider a 2-year contract engagement with one of our clients in Singapore.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Maritime/ Engineering
• Min 2 years direct experience with Class
• Experience with FPSO Classification process and requirement; preferably completed 1 FPSO project through to sail away
• Willing to take on long-term assignment in shipyard (China, Dubai, Singapore)
• Experience with conversion and redeployment projects
• Experience with Class and Statutory certification – international codes and standards and independent verification

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage FPSO Classification activities, Flag and statutory requirement stemming from Class and Flag State from project execution, transportations, OHUC until handing over to Operations Department.
• Lead and manage acquisitions of required Class and Flag approvals, Certificates and Statements to deliver regulatory-compliant FPSO.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be point of contact with project disciplines, Class and Flag state representatives and surveyors while executing Regulatory Compliance Matrix (Class & Flag).
• Reports functionally to Project Regulatory Compliance Manager and provide coverage during absence.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance Specialist(s) in the management of the local regulatory compliance and permitting requirement.
• Assist Company Regulatory Compliance Manager.
• Report quality related problems and HSSE hazards or deficits within their area to the QHSSE department
• Promote and take part in the QHSSE continuous improvement process
