About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer who can help us in setting, delivering, and embedding Revolut data protection and privacy strategy.
Someone who’s excited to work in a fast-paced environment, advancing the adoption of our Group policy, procedures, risk, and control frameworks across the company.

What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Developing necessary internal and external documentation, such as records of processing
- Identifying data protection issues proactively and recommending remedies to promote compliance
- Interacting with supervisory authorities in Germany on data protection and privacy compliance matters
- Advising the business on data protection compliance requirements and related controls in the European Economic Area
- Handling data protection-related risk incidents and data subject rights requests by the global DPO support team
- Liaising with key internal (Legal, Risk, etc.) and external (regulators, advisors, vendors, partners, etc.) stakeholders as required
What you’ll need
- Experience as a Data Protection Officer with demonstrable experience in German/EU data protection laws, regulations, rules, and guidance
- A track record of successfully engaging with data protection regulators
- Knowledge and experience of regulatory requirements relating to data protection and privacy, and a willingness to develop knowledge and expertise in other areas
- The ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects at once with close attention to detail
- A solid understanding of the interplay between compliance risk and business risk
- A solution-oriented mindset that facilitates solving complex privacy and data protection problems
- The ability to communicate positively with members of various internal teams and regulators
- Demonstrated sound judgement
- Impeccable analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to provide clear, concise, and timely advice when dealing with ambiguity
