Description:

As the Regulatory Programmes Manager you will lead cross-cutting regulatory projects and regulatory submissions to secure favourable regulatory outcomes. This will include leading responses to Ofwat consultations, managing queries, and working with the business to develop critical materials to advance our regulatory agenda.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS REGULATORY PROGRAMMES MANAGER

Owning standalone submissions - Prepare high profile standalone regulatory submissions, driving cross functional input and collaboration to develop high quality output.
Contributing to major regulatory programmes- Shape and lead work strand(s) within larger scale regulatory programmes (including but not limited to PR24).
Ensuring forward view of our AMP8 plan as it evolves - Support the Strategy and Planning Manager in creating and maintaining a forward view of AMP8 regulatory building blocks to enable effective Board and Executive engagement.
Management of key regulatory processes - Agile programme management applied to PR24, to include: queries & draft determination, Phase 2 of PR24, realignment of the AMP8 business plan with stakeholder feedback, AMP8 mobilisation, maintaining a dynamic / rolling 3 month forward view.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE?

  • Previous experience in utility regulation, obtained in the water industry or a similar asset management industry.
  • Strong project management skills, and experience in operating a system of project controls, in a project management environment.
  • Highly effective influencing skills to gain co-operation, where necessary, to deliver strategic commercial and regulatory outcomes.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining metrics to gauge progress on regulatory agenda and prepare Exec and Board reports on this.
  • Ability to deliver on time within tight deadlines and to budget, and work within corporate governance procedures.
