Job Title: Regulatory Reporting Advanced Analyst
Business Unit: Limited

Reports To: Associate Director, Regulatory Reporting
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will act as a Deputy for the Associate Director, Regulatory Reporting and as part of this, will be seen as one of the key points of contact for the department. The Deputy Head of Transaction Reporting EMEA will support the Head of Transaction Reporting in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transaction reporting across the EMEA region. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and transaction reporting systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and mitigating risks, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

CORE SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Regulatory reporting, transaction reporting, regulatory compliance, or a related field within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of EMEA transaction reporting regulations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II) and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in transaction reporting systems and data analytics tools. Solid Excel skills are an advantage
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Prior experience within a brokerage firm is highly desirable
  • Ability to accurately analyze and synthesize large amounts of data; unafraid to raise questions to both confirm understanding and challenge appropriately.
  • Strong BA skills will be highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Assist the Head of Transaction Reporting in leading and managing the transaction reporting team.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key point of contact for transaction reporting matters in the absence of the Head of Transaction Reporting.
  • Work alongside the team on BAU items, providing effective solutions on how processes and procedures can be made more effective.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EMEA transaction reporting regulations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II).
  • Monitor regulatory changes and updates, assessing their impact on the firm’s transaction reporting processes.
  • Will assist in UAT testing and change management projects related to transaction reporting for the firm globally to ensure the firm remains compliant and up to date with the Regulations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and address any issues or inquiries.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee daily transaction reporting operations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. (this would include weekly and monthly quality assurance checks with regards to data and static data)
  • Oversight of rejections and exceptions management and supervision of the resubmission/correction files when needed to the TR/ARM
  • Develop and implement robust controls and procedures to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
  • Maintain daily and monthly front to back controls and reconciliations for EMIR and MIFIR reporting for Quality Assurance. Highlight Errors and Omissions to the Manager and Internal Compliance team.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of transaction reporting processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Completeness review, management of over reporting and under reporting scenarios for EMIR/MIFIR with production of MI
  • Strategic Initiatives:
  • Support the Associate Director, Head of Transaction Reporting in developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance transaction reporting capabilities.
  • Lead or participate in projects related to system upgrades, process improvements, and regulatory changes.
  • Drive innovation and the adoption of best practices within the transaction reporting function.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and other relevant parties.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on transaction reporting performance and compliance status.
  • Assist on the production of reports on analysis completed.
  • Represent the transaction reporting function in internal and external meetings, forums, and industry groups.
  • Liaise with Regulators, Exchanges and providers as/when directed by the Associate Director, Regulatory Reporting and Senior Management.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze transaction data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to enhance transaction reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with the analysis and manage data that impacts reporting regimes.
  • Investigate ad-hoc trading issues that may impact reporting.
