As a Regulatory Reporting Assistant Controller Analyst within our Regulatory Reporting & Controls team, you will have the opportunity to add value and improve efficiency, quality, and controls. We are a team that is supported by change and policy functions, constantly adapting to meet developing demands for our business and regulators.
You will play a pivotal role in working alongside the regional and India based Finance teams, performing analysis of financial/business metrics, including capital & liquidity, delivery of management reporting, enhancement of reporting initiatives and ad-hoc business request. You will also act as a key contact between the regional Asset Management legal teams and other Asset Management Line of Businesses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Qualified accountant, or part-qualified accountant
  • Good working knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft suite) essential, experience with automation tools (e.g. Alteryx, Python)
  • Understanding of general ledger and performance of financial reconciliations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks under time pressure, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Independent and able to complete work autonomously

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and delivers of quarterly regulatory returns to the FCA, and monthly monitores & reports of financial metrics to the Capital and Liquidity Review Committee
  • Assists in the preparation of annual statutory accounts, liaising with external auditors and production of quarterly financial information to the Board of Directors
  • Monitores weekly of key metrics with reporting of dashboard to senior management and oversight of the AM LEC Graduate Rotational Analyst’s deliverables
  • Partners with India LEC support team on key deliverables and reviews
  • Owning of the reporting system utilised for local financial reporting, liaising with software vendor and IT department
  • Collaborates with various LOBs and assists with the production of information to be reported in the annual ICARA and public disclosure
  • Assists with ongoing automation, system, process and control improvements and involvement in the LEC controls self-assessment framework
