Join the Close Brothers Regulatory Reporting Team where you will ensure that all BAU regulatory reporting is accurately submitted on a timely basis to the Prudential Regulation Authority and Bank of England for the Bank and the Consolidated Group. This includes all liquidity and statistical reporting as well as preparation of Pillar 3 disclosures, and relevant regulatory disclosures in the group’s Financial Statements and other financial reporting.
The successful candidate will identifying and implement improvements to processes and controls, and inputting into key regulatory initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Submission of regulatory returns

  • Support production of prudential and statistical regulatory returns (PRA110, LCR, COREP and Bank of England statistical) as required to ensure returns are submitted accurately and on time
  • Consolidate existing reporting processes, including liaison with key stakeholders, in particular Finance, Risk and Treasury to ensure appropriate reviews are undertaken and sufficient challenge has taken place
  • Develop appropriate internal communication of regulatory ratios and summaries of key submissions

Regulatory change

  • Work with the Regulatory Policy and Planning Manager to ensure accurate delivery of new regulatory returns and reports, ensuring appropriate involvement of relevant staff
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of reporting requirements, regulatory changes and developments
  • Manage the regulatory change process by identifying areas for change, implementing improvements, and providing input into ongoing projects
  • Where relevant, carry out impact analysis of proposed regulatory changes

Financial Reporting of regulatory metrics and Pillar 3

  • Input into year-end processes as required, including managing delivery of Pillar 3 disclosures and key metric disclosures in Interim and Annual Financial Statements, in
  • Prepare key explanatory communications and reconciliations for senior management and liaise with Investor Relations team in dealing with prudential regulatory queries from investors and other stakeholders
  • Manage ad hoc reporting and communication to Bank and Group’s senior management, including involvement in formal reporting to Board and Exco on key regulatory ratios and future developments

Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
