QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent required
Medical Terminology Certificate required
Minimum 2 years recent (within the past 4 years) patient registration experience required
Keyboarding skills (50 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) required
Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate required (training delivered by Health Centre upon
hire)
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, with minimal supervision required
Excellent organizational skills required
Experience with billing is required
Excellent interprofessional skills and the ability to work collaboratively with demonstrated ability to deal
effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focused care, deliver, and positive customer relations
required.
Demonstrated excellent knowledge and computer skills with proficiency in Meditech Expanse AMB and
Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required.
Payroll time sheet experience an asset
Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple tasks/projects, diversified workload, rapidly
changing priorities, and challenging deadlines required
Willingness to be trained to work in fast paced changing environments, and adapt to multiple health teams and
work routines
Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information required.
Must demonstrate good attendance
