An exciting opportunity has arisen within our neuro rehab in-patient rehab unit at West Hertfordshire.
Are you looking for the opportunity to join a bedded rehabilitation unit in West Hertfordshire? We are currently looking for a Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to join our brilliant multidisciplinary team.
Would you like to work with an enthusiastic team who will help you develop your skills in rehabilitation and care? It is an exciting time to join the team in West Herts as we focus on developing and transforming the services we provide our patients.
This is a service for the rehabilitation of adults presenting with a range of physical dysfunction/or disabilities resulting from neurological conditions. The majority of the patients are referred from an acute hospital and some may be referred from the community settings and establishments.
The post holder will be responsible for seeing patients and working towards an agreed treatment objective. The role will focus on improving independence and will include promotion of daily living skills, personal care and maintenance of strength and function.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about helping patients to improve their quality of life. You will be working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, have excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to problem solve and prioritise.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • NVQ in relevant subject, or equivalent skills gained through work experience.
    This post is part time, 30 hours

    To be responsible for a caseload of patients working to agreed treatment objectives and to assist qualified staff in carrying out individual and group treatment
    To provide therapy interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team to patient within an agreed scope of
    Successful completion of core competencies assessed by qualified
    To be responsible for handing over patient progress and any areas of concern following intervention to the relevant member of ward staff, or care home staff.
