Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mandarin-speaking Rehab Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support clients with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, psychotherapists, and other rehabilitation specialists, to implement care plans and provide hands-on assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in healthcare, rehabilitation, or related fields.
  • Experience in a similar role or working with individuals with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred).
  • A valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care and therapeutic exercises.
  • Support clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals outlined in their care plans.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to clients during therapy sessions.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and report observations to the care team.
  • Facilitate social, recreational, and community engagement activities as part of the rehabilitation process.
  • Ensure clients’ safety and comfort at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
  • Assist with setting up and using mobility aids, adaptive equipment, or therapy tools.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures, including infection control and health and safety guidelines.
