WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Here at Travelers we are transforming the way we do business. As part of our Future of Speciality project we are implementing a new Ceded Reinsurance system. In this fixed term contract to November 2025, we are looking for a Reinsurance Technician to support the extraction, enrichment and migration of the data between systems. You will help design new processes and ensure high quality data migration.
You will also support the Ceded Reinsurance team with the wider team responsibilities, this will include aspects of claims, premiums and information that requires processing in Ceded Re. You will provide support for reinsurance technical accounting and processing procedures assisting with the production of relevant information for both management information and projects for new systems and control processes.
Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

This role is eligible for a £1,500 new joiner bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.

  • Assist in production of Reinsurance MI and detailed data supporting the new reinsurance system implementation.
  • Review, cleansing and transformation of historical reinsurance data to be migrated to the new reinsurance system.
  • Company and Syndicate Cover Note system entry and administration, technical processing and file creation.
  • Administration of excess loss, proportional treaty and facultative accounts, premiums and recoveries.
  • In-house Reinsurance and Underwriting system administration, this will include processing, agreement, review, allocation and querying, there will be some contact with brokers.
  • Interaction and support for reinsurance analysts and reporting team.
  • Company and Syndicate credit control and cash allocation including LORS administration.
  • Company and Syndicate Premium Adjustments calculations.
  • Support the Ceded Re team in reinsurance placements and provide all help in production of information.
  • Track team responsibility delivery, this will include the population of outstanding work tracking systems with new requests, and ensure responsibilities are allocated and progress tracked.
  • Ensure that high standards of service are maintained and improved upon.
  • Manage data requirements and queries from internal and external auditors.
  • Produce and maintain procedure documentation for the Ceded Reinsurance team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
